A Very Frugal and Cold Monday

The high temp today was like 19° and the low was 10°, but it was a very frugal day.
The family ate at Valerio's Pizzeria and used our $25 gift certificate we bought from www.restaurant.com for $2.00. Our bill was $43.00. We bought a lot of extra food as you have to spend at least $35.00 to use the certificate. $43.00 - $25.00 = $18.00 + $2.00 for the certificate + a $8.00 tip = $28.00. We have enough food for tomorrows lunches and suppers. $28.00 divided by 9 (3 meals for 3 people) is $3.12 a person per meal. Not bad.
After the meal Juju dropped Cooter and I off at the house and went to CVS. Her total was $51.26, but she saved $59.64 + $16.00 in ECBs = $75.64 + a mail-in rebate of $6.99 for a 6-pack 0f Ensure (it is a $3.00 moneymaker with a coupon and the rebate) = $82.63 saved.
Then it was my turn. I went to Giant Eagle. I spent $41.42, but saved $43.51. I got 2 free movie rentals from the Redbox, -$2.00, that's 45.51 saved. The great deal was Suave shampoo and conditioner. I got 10 bottles (mostly conditioner) for $.45 each. Hair conditioner is one of the ingredients in my homemade fabric softener. (see the post below) I am gonna have cheap fabric softener for a loooong time. It would have even been better but they didn't take my B1G3 Zone PerfectBar coupon or one of my $1.50 off Colgate toothpaste coupons. That would have been a savings of $4.50 more.
Let's see the totals.
Dinner spent $51.00 Saved $ 23.00
CVS....spent $ 51.26 Saved $ 82.63
GEagle spent $ 41.42 Saved $ 45.51
Total..spent $ 143.68 Saved $ 151.14
I just used the coupon/sales matching website in my post a few days ago for Giant Eagle.
